Tricia Petri-Clark - Profile

DSC03162closecrop1

Tricia Petri-Clark’s background is in the creative arts and her experience covers a wide range of disciplines from location scouting, television production and set staging, to teaching, project management and sales & marketing. Her career in the classical music and television industry began almost 20 years ago in music agency work and line production - planning and co-ordinating television recordings in the UK and abroad. As Line Producer or Executive Producer of well over 100 programmes and Sales & Marketing Director and DVD Producer at Opus Arte, she has worked, together with her Dutch husband Hans Petri and their enthusiastic team, on building a catalogue of over 250 top quality DVDs and Blu-ray discs. Finally, as General Manager, attention to detail and striving for the highest quality, coupled with empathy and strong management skills, were key elements in developing a company that was eventually sought out and taken over by the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.

Relishing the challenge of a new direction in life, Tricia took the decision to start a new venture where she could employ and develop her wide-ranging organisational and project management capabilities and have the pleasure of working with people on a much more personal basis.

Organising office relocations, including international transfers, as well as many house moves and re-organisation of living spaces have always been enjoyable and exciting. A keen interest in architecture, drawing, painting and woodcraft led her to complete an architectural drawing course which has enabled her to turn sketch designs for furniture, storage solutions and house renovations into workable plans.

Having designed a complete makeover for her latest property, the project was presented with the award for Best Small Domestic Project at the 2008 LABC Sussex Awards, and her home was featured in various publications including The Telegraph and Homebuilding and Renovating Magazine on the complete transformation and renovation.

Tricia has a strong belief that light and space and the way we live in our homes can have a profound effect on the way we feel emotionally and therefore can affect our lives, both positively and negatively.  With the use of imagination (and some hard work) Tricia will help you create dramatic transformations in your home by re-organising and re-vamping your space, furniture and belongings. The focus is not on clearing everything you own to make your home appear minimalist or spending a lot of money replacing everything (unless, of course, that is your aim), but on making the best and most attractive use of what you do have. Liberating yourself by discarding or recycling junk, donating to others what you no longer use or need, cherishing what is emotionally important, useful or beautiful and creating an atmosphere in your home that both represents and pleases you and your family is the ultimate goal.
